What if your loved one does not want senior care? Again, no worries! Throughout the year, Shady Pines has designated "Spa Days". You tell your loved one you're treating them to a nice day, but in reality, you're ditching them at a nursing home! This plan is foolproof and has worked with a number of our current residents. Just ask them!
Events & Announcements
The residents of Shady Pines will be touring a local cattle farm to get an inside look at how the famous Boars Head meat is made! Residents will be able to feed cattle and lead them into the processing center! Check back soon for pictures of the latest event!
June 19th
Get ready for the 12th annual Rock and Roll your wheel chairs. On this day, and this day only, residents are permitted to dance in the activity room! The turn out to last years event was amazing. One resident even needed a hip replacement after! Come down and get your boogie on. We will be live streaming the event and taking bets on which resident might go into cardiac arrest.
What about the Asbestos?
Good news. This week, Shady Pines announced that they will look into the so called, "asbestos issue" in the building. Yeah, for potentially clean air in 2018!
What does this mean right now? The asbestos creates a lovely aroma in the hallways. It even masks the smell of the residents! Additionally, it has helped with the again, so called, "rat problem". We haven't had a mice scare in four days! However, exposure to the asbestos over long periods of time can be fatal.
